Subject: You either ARE the Gig, or you GET gigged!

They call this the “Gig Economy,” and there’s definitely some truth to it - a larger portion of the service sector being compromised of perpetual independent operators.

Can these independent operators make some money?  Yes, of course - but they sure as heck can’t scale, AND, they definitely have no resale value - a business to sell at a future multiple.

Take an Uber/Lyft driver or a Door Dash delivery guy - they’re performing a gig and making sone money, BUT they’re part of someone else’s gig!  Would you rather “be the gig” or “own the gig?”

Many transportation providers who built their house on sand and partnered disproportionately with brokers are serving as a gig - still driving, essentially, as an independent operator - not making enough money to scale and/or waiting for the bomb to go off when a broker changes and instantly shifts your business.

Which one are you AND what’s your business look like?  Are you just a gig, or are you building a scalable system (owning the gig) that allows you to leverage others, contractors and/or employees, so you get a piece of EVERYTHING and you actually have something profitable to sell in the future?

Just some food for thought to help you in conducting an assessment.

See you at the Top!
