Subject: Two Important Quick Points

Hello everyone,

This is Dan.  Two quick things:

1. If a patient is less ambulatory and is predominantly wheelchair-bound, as in he/she is typically seated in a chair or wheelchair throughout the course of the day, if a broker tries to send that patient via "ambulatory" versus "wheelchair," then you need to notify the broker ASAP and ensure the trip is upgraded to wheelchair or you need to refuse the transport.

I will let Joel share particular details of this type of issue at his discretion, but if you are performing broker trips, do not allow them to insist you wheel the patient to a car, transfer them to a seat in your vehicle, and then transfer them back to a wheelchair upon arrival.  Way too many things can go wrong in this situation, and guess who is exposed to all the liability?  Clue - it is not the broker!

If the patient is wheelchair-bound, then the patient needs to be transported by wheelchair throughout the entire duration of the transport from start to finish.  It is far better to be safe versus sorry, and if the broker refuses to upgrade the trip status to "wheelchair," then you need to refuse the transport and ensure everything is documented in detail for your protection.

2. Our $200 discount on custom market analysis projects will end tonight.  If you are new to the NEMT industry, expanding into a new market, if you are working to leave the broker plantation and wish to establish direct relationships with hospitals and facilities, then I encourage you to take advantage.

The reason for this promotion is because we are running closer to 20 weeks for development, and we are hoping to avoid our typical year end "log jam" where everyone makes a reservation hoping for a fast turnaround in hopes of a fast start in the new year.

To learn more about the particulars associated with these custom research projects, please visit us at  https://www.milliondollartransportation.com/marketanalysis.html.  Just be sure to email us ASAP if you wish to save $200.  We will send you an electronic invoice that will be good through midnight tonight.

As always, let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Best wishes,
