As you probably know, I work with a lot of client-providers with acquisitions; working probably about 75-80% of the time with buyers. In so doing, I do a LOT of business valuations which, as you can imagine, can take a LOT of time.
Especially because of my commitments to everything NEMT, my broker business, and our growing YouAreTheBroker.com network, my time must be invested wisely. I simply don't have time to waste on nonsense or people who are less than serious.
Nothing is more painful than working with a buyer or seller who fizzles out because they're not financially prepared to move forward or the decide they're not sure they want to buy or sell.
Therefore, as a time and convenience-saving investment, we will be adding a new functionality on UMTPG.org that will feature businesses for sale while prescreening serious buyers.
Further, as I always tell sellers, regardless of what traditional business brokers might advise, you do NOT want to publicize the sale of your NEMT business. If everyone knows you're selling your business, think of the difficulty in retaining employees, keeping existing contracts and services agreements, or consider the feeding frenzy by competitors.
For other businesses in other industries it can be advantageous to publicize the selling of your business, but it's not advantageous when it comes to NEMT.
Promoting the sale of your business must be done discretely and we will work to do just that on UTMPG.org. Key information will remain anonymous and only shared with prospective buyers who have been screened and pre-approved to ensure they are not wasting anyone's time!
I have been asked countless times before why we don't feature such a service, and I fought it for countless years. But it's now time because it will literally serve as a time-saving investment for you and me.
I will be working out the legal details, disclaimers, and requirements with my attorneys and then working with our developers to enhance our site. I will keep you all posted on updates and encourage all of you serious about selling or buying your business to stay tuned.
