Hello to all my Million Dollar Peeps! As always, I hope this message finds you all doing well, and business is booming! If God doesn't have a sense of humor!
In my travels and working with a client-provider, we scored a meeting with a Director of Purchasing from a hospital complex (You know I have to keep names and proprietary info confidential to protect my peeps). This complex has two facilities.
I don't know what all of the hospital codes mean, so I took the liberty of blacking them out, but WHILE WE WERE AT LUNCH less than two hours ago, the Director received the below text message. It reads:
"Nurse managers please expedite discharges and report any barriers to CRO."
As of this message, at the first hospital, they had 63 people in their ER rooms, 23 being observed/evaluated, and 20 people in the waiting room.
At their second hospital, they had 23 people in their ER rooms, 3 being observed/evaluated, and 12 in the waiting room.
That means that between the two hospitals they had 86 people in admitted into a room, 26 being observed or attended to, and 32 in their waiting rooms.
There's NO coincidence why they pay out......wait for it.......$6,000 per day for NEMT, NEMT, NEMT (NOT AN AMBULANCE SERVICE), NEMT providers to transport discharge patients.
Did I mention they're paying that per day to NEMT providers? He said it's less on weekends - closer to $2,000 per day.
.........and then you have people who focus on Medicaid/broker work. SMH
Hey, what the heck to I know......
See you at the Top! Joel E. Davis |
