One of the most dramatic stories about power, passion and purpose comes from R Buckminister Fuller.
He said he experienced an event in which he felt enclosed in a sphere of light, as though he was suspended off the ground, and he heard these words:
From now on you need never await temporal attestation to your thought. You think the truth. You do not have the right to eliminate yourself. You do not belong to you. You belong to the Universe. Your significance will remain forever obscure to you, but you may assume that you are fulfilling your role if you apply yourself to converting your experiences to the highest advantage of others.

In my own life, I noticed I became lost when I thought about my purpose as an answer to the question “What am I here to do?” During vision quests and my own peak experiences, like Fuller, I discovered:

Peak and spiritual experiences have a way of helping you recognize your most powerful spiritual gifts. Combine that with some guidance from the other side and your life experiences, and you begin to see what you really have to offer.
