In many indigenous traditions, this time of year—on the cusp between October and November— is recognized as a period when we can more easily connect to our loved ones and those we admire who have crossed over.

Another gift from this period of time can be a deeper connection to the innocence of yourself as a young child.

 

It’s a beautiful time to think about the qualities you had as a child and how those qualities serve you now.

 

- What did you love to do when you got some time to yourself?

- How did you bravely take care of yourself during difficult times?

- In what ways did you make a positive difference in someone’s life?

- Do you remember how precious you were in your connection to the Divine?

 

The qualities that made you special when you were young, still live inside you today. And they can help you navigate through these unpredictable times.

I have yet to find a good astrological explanation as to why the veil between the worlds is thinner…

 

…but I can share with you that as I prepared for this past weekend’s ceremony and today’s newsletter, I had a significant, loving dream with both my father and grandmother (both having crossed over years ago).

 

So, the access at this time is at least real for me.

 

It was so lovely to feel my ancestors’ faith in me. Their faith was a reminder to deepen my trust in myself and my dreams.

This sound healing session affected me in profound ways. The first time I listened to it, I could feel it shifting and moving energy in my body. At points it was uncomfortable and immediately after listening, I started running a low fever, which Misa explains as a “healing crisis.” A day and a half later, the fever was gone and I felt better and stronger than I had all winter. This definitely cleared something out of my body (maybe multiple things), and helped me to heal.
