Friend,
When I was very young I didn’t have doubts. I became aware of having serious doubts when I began to question what I had been taught—particularly the beliefs that didn’t feel right to me.
My doubts turned into resentment and cynicism of those who had taught me, and I used that energy to champion causes I believed in.
Even though I was making some positive differences, the energy that was fueling me was actually toxic to me, those whose beliefs I was rejecting, and the people I thought I was trying to serve.

What I slowly came to understand is that the person I really doubted was myself.
|
|
The person I resented and criticized the most was myself.
In my careers as a teacher and then in public relations work, I had become quite skilled in analyzing problems and identifying solutions—for other people’s problems.
But I was terrible at analyzing my own. I was depressed and miserable, and didn’t really understand why. So the person I doubted the most was me. Next to me—was God.

It took me some years to discover I had almost completely disconnected from my intuitive wisdom.
|
|
I had no idea how my intuition worked. I didn’t know, let alone trust in my spiritual gifts. And I didn’t trust my secular skills either. I was completely disconnected from my dreams, and had no direct channel to the Divine.
Thankfully, when I was at the depths of my quandary, a friend invited me to a workshop with legendary Judith Duerk, and I said, “Yes.”

In the silent, accepting space of her workshops, my spiritual gifts opened up. I was seeing into other dimensions, and getting to know the feeling of truth in my body. I finally saw how the Divine communicated with me.
|
|
Just a few years later, a medicine woman invited me into her circle and taught me how to connect more deeply into those other dimension. She showed me how to draw actual strength and clarity from my connections to my power animals, plants, and stones.
Through ceremonies, she taught me how to develop powerful relationships with the elements as we worked within a medicine wheel.
There was one ceremony I will always remember. She began the ritual and it suddenly began to hail.
We ducked for cover and when the hail stopped, there was no hail on the ground, except for four neat little piles of hail. Each pile was perfectly formed, equally distanced apart, in each quadrant of the circle.

Each quadrant of the circle represented a section of a medicine wheel we were working with. Through our ceremonies, we were developing our relationships with earth, water, wind, fire, power animals and plants, stones, and qualities associated with each quadrant of the wheel.
Years later, I had my own experience in ceremony in which lightning struck above each quadrant, following me around the medicine wheel as I humbly offered my services for healing the earth.

When your relationships to the energies of the earth are strong, those energies respond.
|
|
Those energies visit you in your dreams, meditations, rituals and ceremonies, providing you with insights and guidance.
Saying prayers for what you want is not enough.
|
|
In order to effect change, your prayers need to be free from doubt.
|
|
|
|
This is what I learned from my elders about becoming doubt free. And you can do this for yourself:
1. Develop a strong clear relationship with the Divine’s creations across dimensions that are most aligned with you. These beings and energies are reflections—actual aspects—of you that help you know and understand how the Divine works through you.
2. Develop a relationship with your dreams (even encouraging yourself to remember them) because this is where the Divine speaks directly to you, through energies that communicate to you beyond what words can convey.
3. Honor your relationships by respecting the guidance you receive and acting on the insights you receive. This is where the “use it or lose it” principle applies.
4. Don’t make a big deal or minimize seemingly unreal or extraordinary experiences. They are showing you life’s potential. The more you see these experiences as normal, the more frequently they occur. That means you ultimately get more direct guidance and you are able to positively influence more of life from a place of Divine love.

Your relationship to the Divine can exponentially grow as you develop relationship to these aspects of yourself. In turn, your relationship to Mother Earth deepens and expands.
|
|
The Mother offers profound energy for healing and thriving…
And you become an even stronger, positive influence in the world, as your doubts quiet down.
Each person has their own unique medicine wheel from which they consciously or unconsciously are creating their lives.
