On this day, it is right to celebrate our accomplishments in ending abuse and violence…

On this day, as we look to further these goals for the sake of women, and all people, we deserve to honor that we are doing this while…

... learning how to navigate a world in which there is so much blaming, shaming, criticism, lack of compassion, restriction of personal sovereignty—and still, too much violence.

So, it can be wise to remember the strengths of respect and compassion that we as sensitive and empathic people can bring to our lives, to humanity and to all the creatures of this beautiful planet.
