Happy Saturday Friend!

Years ago, I had already done a lot of inner healing work… so I was really surprised when Gigi, my elder at the time, asked me to let her take me through her inner child work. Honestly, I thought I was past all that!

But she was Gigi! And I just couldn’t say, “No.”

She gently suggested I was likely to find some incomplete healing. So, I surrendered to her love for me and stepped into the sacred work with her.

Gigi was an unassuming woman, who had a profound relationship with beautiful spirits on the other side—in this case, St. Germain.

She received this approach to inner child healing directly from him and passed on his profound insights to me in our sessions together.

Over the years I’ve listened to many women describe the inner child work they have done in other environments, and just like me, they thought their inner child work was complete…

…however, the on-going triggers were telling a different story. Family gatherings were still painful and they continued to feel like the black sheep of the family.

That tells me the child-self hasn’t yet felt completely safe, seen or heard.

But this kind of sacred transformation can work when the right elements are in place!

Here are the rarely understood, but necessary elements that Gigi passed on to me before she died:

You can’t use your logical mind or physical activities to help your inner child heal. She doesn’t live there. You’ve got to get into deep journey states (shamanic states) of consciousness.
There is no one in the world who knows exactly what you needed better than your inner child, not even your adult self.
Complete the healing at every developmental step, to address each of the unmet emotional needs that are sabotaging you.
Get support, because if the child gets stuck and you leave her, she’s abandoned once more. And the triggers can get worse.

Then, once those needs are met, you stop searching for others to fulfill you or be more than they are able to. That makes room for a lot more fun with our families.

No one can guarantee totally fabulous relationships with every family member, as a result of fulfilling your own inner child…

… but you’ll set a great foundation for more joy with more people in your life.
