Hello Beautiful Friend

You may know of my friend Stephanie James who created one of the films I was in, When Sparks Ignite. She seems to effortlessly attract unlimited opportunities and support—even in the most uncertain of times.

For example, right now the U.S. is going through a tumultuous season. Yet next month, she’s filming a fully fundedmovie here, and the project came together in just a few weeks.

When I asked her how she does it, she surprised me by starting with how she works with her brain.

“I create a unique relationship with my reticular activating system (RAS—regulates arousal and attention) and my amygdala (detects and responds to potential threats) to recognize opportunities.”

Don’t worry… I’m not going to drop a bunch of science on you! Simply put, these two parts of the brain play a powerful role in how we respond to the world:

RAS: Filters what gets your attention, helping you notice what’s important.
Amygdala: Scans for threats—or rewards—and triggers emotional and nervous system responses.

During uncertain times, these systems can get stuck on high alert. That’s when fearful thoughts start looping:

“I wonder how bad this is going to get?”
“How am I ever going to make it?”

You already know where those questions tend to lead.

So how does Stephanie create amazing results when others are bracing for the worst?

“I train my RAS and amygdala to be on alert for what I want.”

🦋 Here’s how she applies it:

She activates her intuition to guide her toward synchronicities and opportunities.
She knows how to release fears quickly, so her mind and emotions can work for her, not against her.
