Subject: April Newsletter Merciful Servants of God . . .

Dear fellow believers:

"Time has the world's largest circulation for a weekly news magazine, and has a readership of 25 million, 20 million of which are in the US."  (Wikipedia, Time)

The April 8th U.S. edition of Time Magazine has the following cover:
The above cover is a sign that U.S. society is progressing toward accepting gay marriage.  I wrote about this in the November 2012 edition of this newsletter.

On March 26 and March 27, (the dates of the Passover Seder for Jews and believers that keep the Holy Days of Elohim) the Supreme Court heard two cases that can greatly help eliminate the Defense of Marriage Act and promote acceptance of gay marriage.  Recently, France ruled to allow gay marriages.

It really saddens me to see society "breaking down."  However, this was predicted to happen by the prophets.

"For behold, the Lord GOD of hosts is going to remove from Jerusalem and Judah (this prophecy applies to all the tribes of Israel including the Jews - emphasis mine) Both supply and support, the whole supply of bread And the whole supply of water;
The mighty man and the warrior, The judge and the prophet, The diviner and the elder, The captain of fifty and the honorable man, The counselor and the expert artisan, And the skillful enchanter.

"And I will make mere lads their princes, And capricious children will rule over them, And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will storm against the elder And the inferior against the honorable. When a man lays hold of his brother in his father's house, saying, "You have a cloak, you shall be our ruler, And these ruins will be under your charge," He will protest on that day, saying, "I will not be your healer, For in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; You should not appoint me ruler of the people."

"For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen, Because their speech and their actions are against the LORD, To rebel against His glorious presence.
The expression of their faces bears witness against them, And they display their sin like Sodom; They do not even conceal it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves.  Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.  Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him

"O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths.  The LORD arises to contend, And stands to judge the people.  The LORD enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, "It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.  "What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the face of the poor?" Declares the Lord GOD of hosts.  Moreover, the LORD said, "Because the daughters of Zion are proud And walk with heads held high and seductive eyes, And go along with mincing steps And tinkle the bangles on their feet,  Therefore the Lord will afflict the scalp of the daughters of Zion with scabs, And the LORD will make their foreheads bare."  In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, headbands, crescent ornaments, dangling earrings, bracelets, veils, headdresses, ankle chains, sashes, perfume boxes, amulets, finger rings, nose rings, festal robes, outer tunics, cloaks, money purses, hand mirrors, undergarments, turbans and veils. Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction; Instead of a belt, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp; Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.  Your men will fall by the sword.  And your mighty ones in battle.  And her gates will lament and mourn, And deserted she will sit on the ground."  (Isaiah 3:1-26 NASB)

The above prophecy is very revealing.  The type of social behavior described in the above scriptures is a perfect description of our 21st century society.  Unfortunately, if we do not collectively repent as a society (collectively), then the above judgements will occur (Jeremiah 18:7-8).  The measurement Yah used to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexuality.  It will be the same for the 21st century.

"My soul desires you at night, my spirit in me seeks you at dawn; for when your judgments are here on earth, the people in the world learn what righteousness is." (Isaiah 26:9 CJB)

"I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity. I will end the arrogance of the proud and humble the insolence of tyrants."  (Isaiah 13:11 CJB)

"And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.  "It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;  but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.  "It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed."  (Luke 17:26-30 KJV)

"And if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter." (2 Peter 2:6 NASB)

"Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire."  (Jude 1:7 NASB)

Yah inspired the prophet Isaiah to write the following about the tribes of Israel:

"Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their transgression And to the house of Jacob their sins. "Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God." (Isaiah 58:1-2 NASB)

The 12 tribes of Israel's sins include the sins of Sodom:

(1) Failure to adequately help and care for the poor
(2) Pride
(3) Eating too much
(4) Abundance of laziness
(5) Sexual perversion - Isaiah 1:3, 10; Ezekiel 16:49-50.

We are Yah's representatives on this earth.  We must strive to prevent the sins of society from influencing us to sin.  We must learn to love other believers and everyone else.

"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.'  "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?  "If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?  "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.  (Matthew 5:43-48 NASB)

"If I speak with the tongues of men and of messengers, but do not have love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have prophecy, and know all secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all belief, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am none at all.  And if I give out all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but do not have love, I am not profited at all

"Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, is not puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not provoked, reckons not the evil, does not rejoice over the unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth,  it covers all, believes all, expects all, endures all.  Love never fails.

"And whether there be prophecies, they shall be inactive; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall be inactive.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part.  But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be inactive.  When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child. But when I became a man, I did away with childish matters.  For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know, as I also have been known.  And now belief, expectation, and love remain – these three. But the greatest of these is love."  (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 The Scriptures)

If we are honest with ourselves, we all need to improve our love for Yah, other believers and our fellow human beings.

What is the Bible's definition of love?

"Love does no evil to a neighbour. Therefore, love is completion of the Torah." (Romans 13:10 The Scriptures)

"Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah has God as his father, and everyone who loves a father loves his offspring too.  Here is how we know that we love God's children: when we love God, we also do what he commands.  For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust."  (1 John 5:1-4 CJB)

We need to start seriously preparing for the Great Tribulation.

"The clever see trouble coming and hide; the simple go on and pay the penalty." (Proverbs 22:3 CJB)

"By belief, Noaḥ, having been warned of what was yet unseen, having feared, prepared an ark to save his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to belief."  (Hebrews 11:7 The Scriptures)

Remember, Yeshua compared the social behavior of the 21st century to the days of Noah and Lot (Luke 17:26-30).

When a major news publication like Time magazine displays a picture of two gay people kissing each other and stating that "Gay Marriage Already Won," then you know that trouble is coming.
  • I do not know when the Great Tribulation will occur.  However, the social behavior signs that Yehshua spoke about are occuring.  He said when you see these occur, then know His second coming is near. The April 8th U.S. edition cover of Time magazine is a sign we better start seriously preparing for the Great Tribulation.
"At that time many will be trapped into betraying and hating each other, many false prophets will appear and fool many people; and many people's love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah. But whoever holds out till the end will be delivered."  (Matthew 24:10-13 CJB)
  • Homosexuality is certainly not an example of love.  It contributes toward the destruction of humanity (Leviticus 18:22, 24-29) because it prevents the creation of human beings.  It is certainly an example of love "growing cold."
"In the same way, when you see all these things, you are to know that the time is near, right at the door."  (Matthew 24:33 CJB)

Also, the prophet Malachi reveals the following:

"You have wearied יהוה with your words, and you have said, “In what way have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil is good in the eyes of יהוה, and He is delighting in them,” or, “Where is the Elohim of right-ruling?” (Malachi 2:17 The Scriptures)

"Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," says the LORD of hosts.
"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap.  "He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness.  "Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years. "Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me," says the LORD of hosts.  (Malachi 3:1-5 NASB)

We must understand Yah considers believers family members.

"Then his mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent a message asking for him.  A crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, "Your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you."  He replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"  Looking at those seated in a circle around him, he said, "See! Here are my mother and my brothers!  Whoever does what God wants is my brother, sister and mother!"  (Mark 3:31-35 CJB)

"Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,  But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."  (Mark 10:28-30 KJV)

We are family and we need to treat other like we are family.
  • Please realize we will not be able to save our physical families' lives if they rebel against Torah.  We can't repent or change for them.  Each human being has to decide to change and obey Yah.  And, Yah will give EVERY human being that is capable of repenting a fair opportunity to learn how to obey Torah.
"Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, "Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, and I stretch out My hand against it, destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast, even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord GOD.

"If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would pass through it because of the beasts,
though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the country would be desolate.  "Or if I should bring a sword on that country and say, 'Let the sword pass through the country and cut off man and beast from it,'
even though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters, but they alone would be delivered.  "Or if I should send a plague against that country and pour out My wrath in blood on it to cut off man and beast from it, even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. They would deliver only themselves by their righteousness."  (Ezekiel 14:12-20 NASB)

Some of you may know of some physical family that are gay or have other issues.  You have to forsake them if their lifestyle can cause you to sin or causes you to sin.  You must come out of Babylon (Revelation 18:4).  Babylon means "confusion."  This society is very confused at this point in human history.  A significant amount of society don't know what marriage is (especially the youth) or they don't care.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"  (Isaiah 5:20 The Scriptures)

"But know this, that in the last days hard times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, thankless, wrong-doers,  unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, haters of good,  betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim."  (2 Timothy 3:1-4 The Scriptures)

What can we do to prepare for the Great Tribulation?
  1. Obey Yah by keeping his Torah (Proverbs 1:33)
  2. Study the Bible EVERY DAY and work on changing and overcoming sins (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1)
  3. TRUST Yah and don't doubt His power (Hebrews 11)
  4. NEVER stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
  5. Study and mediate on Psalm 91

"Don't you know that those who work in the Temple get their food from the Temple, and those who serve at the altar get a share of the sacrifices offered there?  In the same way, the Lord directed that those who proclaim the Good News should get their living from the Good News."   (1 Corinthians 9:13-14  CJB)

Your tithes/charity/tzedakah (za da kah)/almsgiving & offerings will help pay for basic necessities.

"The leaders who lead well should be considered worthy of double honor, especially those working hard at communicating the Word and at teaching. For the Tanakh says, "You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain," in other words, "The worker deserves his wages." (1 Timothy 5:17-18 - CJB)

"But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things (2 Corinthians 6:4-10 KJV)."

"Give, and you will receive gifts — the full measure, compacted, shaken together and overflowing, will be put right in your lap. For the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure back to you!" (Luke 6:38 - CJB)

"Here's the point: he who plants sparingly also harvests sparingly.  Each should give according to what he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  Moreover, God has the power to provide you with every gracious gift in abundance, so that always in every way you will have all you need yourselves and be able to provide abundantly for every good cause — as the Tanakh says, "He gave generously to the poor; his tzedakah lasts forever." He who provides both seed for the planter and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your tzedakah." (2 Corinthians 9:6-10 CJB)
