Subject: Prophecy and The Abomination of Desolation from Merciful Servants of God . . .

Dear fellow believers:

Has anyone, who has predicted the start of the Great Tribulation or the date of the coming of the Messiah, been correct?  Well, I have lived in this world for almost 47 years and no one has been correct.
  • The definition of insanity is expecting different results despite getting the same results over and over again by doing the same thing.
Yeshua warned us there would be many false prophets and teachers (and false teaching) in the 21st century.

The following is the 1st sentence that came out of Messiah's mouth when the apostles asked Him, ". . .Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matthew 24:3)

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Matthew 24:5 KJV)
  • Worldwide deception of who the Messiah is and His message would be great.  And, it is great in the 21st century.  This is one of the MAJOR signs of the coming of the Messiah!

Paul stated the following about false teaching:

"I give you orders, before God and Christ Jesus, who will be the judge of the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom; Be preaching the word at all times, in every place; make protests, say sharp words, give comfort, with long waiting and teaching; For the time will come when they will not take the true teaching; but, moved by their desires, they will get for themselves a great number of teachers for the pleasure of hearing them; And shutting their ears to what is true, will be turned away to belief in foolish stories." (2 Timothy 4:1-4 Bible in Basic English)

"But the Spirit says clearly that in later times some will be turned away from the faith, giving their minds to spirits of deceit, and the teachings of evil spirits, Through the false ways of men whose words are untrue, whose hearts are burned as with a heated iron."  (1 Timothy 4:1-2 Bible in Basic English)

We must remember the following about prophecy:

"For when we gave you news of the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, our teaching was not based on stories put together by art, but we were eye-witnesses of his glory. For God the Father gave him honour and glory, when such a voice came to him out of the great glory, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased. And this voice came from heaven even to our ears, when we were with him on the holy mountain. And so the words of the prophets are made more certain; and it is well for you to give attention to them as to a light shining in a dark place, till the dawn comes and the morning star is seen in your hearts; Being conscious in the first place that no man by himself may give a special sense to the words of the prophets. For these words did not ever come through the impulse of men: but the prophets had them from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.  (2 Peter 1:16-21 Bible in Basic English)

Peter was referring to the transfiguration.  The Father spoke to Peter, John and James during the transfiguration and this is what He told them:

"While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them; and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love, with whom I am well pleased.  Listen to him!" (Matthew 17:5 CJB)

Based on my 27 years of studying prophecy, the problem I see with some prophecy teachings is the lack of listening and believing ALL the words of the greatest prophet who ever lived-Yeshua the Messiah.
  • Let's understand the words Messiah spoke came from the Father.
"And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.  And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak." (John 12:47-50 KJV)

"For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me." (John 17:8 KJV)

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds." (Hebrews 1:1-2 KJV)

The Father told Yeshua the following about the days of the coming of the Messiah-the 21st century:

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."  (Matthew 24:15-22 KJV)

During the years I have studied Bible prophecy, I have heard the following interpretations about Matthew 24:15:
  • The Abomination of Desolation is spiritual
  • Yeshua did not refer to a built temple in Jerusalem during the end-time Abomination of Desolation
Well, Yeshua said the Abomination of Desolation is something you can see.  Normally, you can't see a spirit.  Notice that Yeshua referred us to the book of Daniel and the subject of the Abomination of Desolation.  The subject of the Abomination of Desolation is found in the book of Daniel.

Daniel 9:27 is the scripture that many people struggle with.  The following are some interpretations of Daniel 9:27:
  • The Messiah confirmed the convenant and the 1st 3.5 years of the last week of Daniel have been completed and we are to wait for the final 3.5 year (42 month) period to begin in these end times.
  • The anti-Messiah will create a peace treaty for 7 years and a 7 year tribulation period will begin with a peace treaty created by the anti-Messiah and in the middle of the seven years the Abomination of Desolation (GREAT tribulation) will occur.
  • This prophecy was already fulfilled in the 1st century by Titus (66 A.D. to 73 A.D) during the 1st Jewish-Roman war.
As we watch world events according to Messiah's request (Mark 13:32-37), we'll start to better understand Daniel 9:27 and other Bible prophecies.
  • Unfortunately, it appears many people are interested in prophecy more than trying to become better human beings because of the false pre-tribulation rapture doctrine and because of people desiring a "quick fix."  Many people love the "easy way out."
Well, Yeshua stated His second coming would be like the days of Noah and Lot (Luke 17:26-33) and they both did not have an "easy way out."  Some of the "woman" the assembly of believers will be protected for 3 and 1/2 years so how can there be a pre-tribulation rapture? (Revelation 12:6, 12-17)  Similarly, Noah and Lot's family (with the exception of Lot's wife) was protected by Yah during their "great tribulation."

According to the scriptures, the Great Tribulation cannot start unless a Temple is built.  Yeshua stated the Abomination of Desolation will involve a "holy place." (Matthew 24:15; Acts 6:13; Acts 21:28; Hebrews 9:25) According to scripture, when you look this phrase up "holy place" in the KJV, it refers to a built tabernacle or temple.  In the New Testament, it always refers to a built temple.
  • Paul prophesied a man would sit in the Temple of Yah and claim he is God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).  And, in the Book of Revelation, a temple and an altar in Jerusalem will be present before the start of the great tribulation (the 42 months - Revelation 11:1-3).
  • "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months." (Revelation 11:1-2 KJV)
The Abomination of Desolation involved a built temple & altar and the future Abomination of Desolation, according to scripture and history (1 Maccabees 1:41-64), will also involve a built temple & altar.
  • Remember, Yeshua said we have to "see" the Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15).  You can't see a spiritual Abomination of Desolation and a man can't sit in another human being (believers are a "type" of temple according to the scriptures [1 Cor. 3:16]) and claim he is God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
The Abomination of Desolation involves the holiday of Hanukkah (means dedication or re-dedication) which involves the re-dedication of the Holy Temple.

"And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (Daniel 11:31 KJV)

The word "sanctuary" in Daniel 11:31 is referring to a built temple according to the following scriptures where the same word (Strong's 4720) is used:
  • Ezekiel 5:11
  • 1 Chronicles 22:19
  • 2 Chronicles 29:21
Strong 4720 means:

"miqdas: A masculine noun meaning a holy or sacred place, a sanctuary. As a nominal form from the verb qadas (H6942), meaning to be set apart or to be consecrated, this noun designates that which has been sanctified or set apart as sacred and holy as opposed to the secular, common, or profane. It is a general term for anything sacred and holy, such as the articles of the Tabernacle that were devoted for use during worship (Num_10:21); or the best portion of the offerings given to the Lord (Num_18:29). Most often, it connotes a sanctuary, the physical place of worship. In this sense, the word encompasses a variety of these concepts: the old Israelite sanctuaries (Jos_24:26); the Tabernacle (Exo_25:8; Lev_12:4; Lev_21:12); the Temple (1Ch_22:19; 2Ch_29:21; Dan_11:31); the sanctuaries dedicated to false worship (Lev_26:31; Isa_16:12; Amo_7:9). It can also denote a place of refuge or asylum because this status was accorded to sacred places among the Hebrews (Isa_8:14; Eze_11:16; cf. 1Ki_1:50; 1Ki_2:28)."  (The Complete WordStudy Dictionary)

Someone suggested I study Psalm 119 ministries' Bible Prophecy series and I did in February.  They are predicting the Great Tribulation will begin March 22, 2013 (the 42 months - the Great Tribulation begins with the Abomination of Desolation).
  • Unless a temple is built by the 22nd of this month and other things involving the Great Tribulation occur as revealed in the scriptures, it appears the Great Tribulation (the 42 months) will not begin on March 22, 2013.  Psalm 119 ministries has some great teachings on their website.  They tell everyone to "test everything." This is good advice for Psalm 119's teachings, my teachings or any other ministry's teachings. They appear to have a humble attitude and will change their teachings when they are proven wrong just as any other Torah teacher should.
To summarize, we must watch and look for the following key things to occur before we can start counting the days before the coming of the Messiah and to understand the Great Tribulation has started:
  • A rebuilt Temple of Yah in Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2; Matthew 24:15; Revelation 11:1-2).
  • An altar set up and rededicated for 7 days - (2 Chronicles 7:9 KJV).
  • The daily sacrifice on the altar - (Numbers 28:1-10 KJV).
  • The daily sacrifices stopped - when the sacrifices are stopped is the time we start counting according to Daniel 12:11.
  • This is also the time we start to flee according to Yeshua's own words (Matthew 24:15-22 KJV).  Yeshua said it is also time to flee when you see armies surrounding Jerusalem (Luke 21:20-22 KJV).  He said when the armies surround Jerusalem then you know the Abomination of Desolation is near.
  • A rebellion will occur and the anti-Messiah will sit in the Temple of Yah claiming he is Yah (2 Thessalonians 2:1-6).  The scripture reveals the anti-Messiah will be revealed in his time.
  • A statue of the Beast is created and made to miraculously speak (Revelation 13:14-15).
  • Some believers will flee to the wilderness for protection (Revelation 12:13-17 KJV).
  • Two witnesses will begin their preaching and will punish anyone that will try to harm them (Revelation 11:1-7).
  • Anti-messiah will begin his persecution of the saints (Revelation 13:5-7)
  • The false prophet begins his deception on behalf of the geo-political beast (Revelation 13:11-17 KJV) and influences people to accept a "mark" that will allow them them to buy and sell.
The Temple Institute was created for the purpose of helping to build the "holy place"  Yeshua talked about in Matthew 24:15.
  • On Sunday, March 10th, they will have a 3 hour online live video presentation explaining the importance of building the Holy Temple in our times, the proper way to observe the New Moon by observation, and other topics related to the Holy Temple.  The website provides a lot of FREE information and teachings about the Holy Temple.  Remember, the Holy Temple is a type of our Father's House in heaven.  We should all be interested in our Father's house (John 2:16; Hebrews 8:4-5; Revelation 4 & 5).
I HIGHLY recommend you view this Internet presentation.  Click The Temple Institute for more information about the presentation and the time it starts in your area.

"Don't you know that those who work in the Temple get their food from the Temple, and those who serve at the altar get a share of the sacrifices offered there?  In the same way, the Lord directed that those who proclaim the Good News should get their living from the Good News."   (1 Corinthians 9:13-14  CJB)

"The leaders who lead well should be considered worthy of double honor, especially those working hard at communicating the Word and at teaching. For the Tanakh says, "You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain," in other words, "The worker deserves his wages." (1 Timothy 5:17-18 - CJB)

"But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things (2 Corinthians 6:4-10 KJV)."

"Give, and you will receive gifts — the full measure, compacted, shaken together and overflowing, will be put right in your lap. For the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure back to you!" (Luke 6:38 - CJB)

"Here's the point: he who plants sparingly also harvests sparingly.  Each should give according to what he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  Moreover, God has the power to provide you with every gracious gift in abundance, so that always in every way you will have all you need yourselves and be able to provide abundantly for every good cause — as the Tanakh says, "He gave generously to the poor; his tzedakah lasts forever." He who provides both seed for the planter and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your tzedakah." (2 Corinthians 9:6-10 CJB)
