Studio Updates

December 2025

The end of the year is a wonderful time for reflection at MCMA. We have greeted so many beautiful new faces this year - students of all ages, our newest board members Kate Clark and Abigail Nash, and welcomed Evan Lattimore and Zachary Bence to the faculty (or back to the faculty in Zack's case!). We've said goodbye to another set of forward-facing graduates, who we know are making beautiful music during this next phase of their musical journeys! We've welcomed Tom Luther into an important additional role as Program Coordinator, expanded our Music Together® offerings, established new community partnerships, and had some amazing performances. We're grateful to you all for being there alongside us this year. The support of our musical community is humbling and inspiring!

Even with all of this progress, there is much more to do. Our Annual Appeal is now in everyone's mailbox. We hope that your donations will help us fill the halls with more music than ever before. MCMA is dedicated to ensuring the accessibility of music education, and will allocate $40,000 in tuition assistance over this school year. Please support our efforts if you are able! More information below.

MEET OUR DECEMBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH!

Kenny has been studying with Amelia Campbell since November of 2024, and was part of our Music Exploration program prior to that. Amelia has this to say about her student:

"Kenny and I have been working together on piano and music theory nonstop since last year, and it shows in his progress. With his first recital already tackled, he jumped immediately into new music and new ideas.

Kenny is full of energy, full of questions, and always ready to give his music all he’s got. His tenacity to learn new concepts or songs, no matter the difficulty, is very exciting to watch, and a joy to teach.

Congrats, Kenny!”
