Hi Friend !

We have 4 days to go in our indiegogo campaign, for a documentary film project on (and with) New York City's homeless people, which we're going to present along with our partner NYC homeless organisation in a campaign to city council.

We're at only 20% of our goal, so we NEED your help NOW to reach this.

If you're waiting until the last day to see how the campaign goes, please DON'T! This harms the success of it. People like to jump on a bandwagon, follow the herd and contribute when others do. Its a snowball effect. So if you'd like to support this, PLEASE jump in now - you'll be encouraging others to as well :-)

Here's what the project's all about !

Problem?

In New York, its very hard for a Homeless person to get off the streets.

Why?

In the current New York model, being granted permanent housing is the "final" step in the process of bringing someone from homeless to permanent housing. Many people never make it that far due to the many obstacles the model presents (which are especially hard to accomplish while living on the streets). Aside, most still aren't granted housing even if they do make it through the process - there just isn't enough available.

Solution?

The cities having success with their model, are the ones where people are moved directly from the streets into housing "first", which is a complete REVERSE of the current NYC model.
