One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure

Monday, June 22, 2026, Noon-1 p.m.

Join Big Bird, Elmo and their new friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they learn about the Sun, the Moon, and the Big Dipper, then blast off in an imaginary rocket to the Moon! Along the way, they invite the audience to sing along to songs about space and celebrate the sky that belongs to everyone. It’s the perfect introduction to space for our littlest astronomers! Recommended for ages 3+. 

NOTE: One World, One Sky has a movie runtime of 25-minutes. The member preview will also include a live night sky tour and a virtual roller coaster ride at the end. KPop Demon Hunters Laser Light Show premieres July 3, 7 p.m. at Longway Planetarium

Oh yes we did! Enjoy the soundtrack from KPop Demon Hunters with the stunning effects of Longway Planetarium's new laser light show system, complete with surround sound and concert-style lasers. Premieres July 3 and will run 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for a limited run (closed July 4). Reserve your member tickets in advance here

The Lost World of Dragons 

Hands-on Exhibit
Now Open through September 13 at Sloan Museum of Discovery

Members receive FREE admission. 

Explore the legends behind these mythical beasts in this 6000 square foot interactive exhibition inspired by dragon mythology. This exhibit features life-size animatronic dragons and interactive displays. For more information and tickets, visit SloanLongway.org/dragons.

In celebration of America 250, Sloan Museum has curated a special timeline-based exhibit with artifacts, text panels and graphics highlighting significant events in Genesee County that influenced national events.
