| | | Welcome to our new Planetarium Manager, Patrick Ross. Patrick grew up in the Flint area and attended University of Michigan-Flint for his undergraduate degree in physics. During this time, he also worked at Longway Planetarium as a presenter. After graduation, Patrick received his masters from the University of Toledo. Before coming back to Longway, he worked three years at Texas A&M-Commerce as the planetarium manager. Patrick's favorite constellation is Orion and the winter sky in general. When you see Patrick, ask him about his research on globular clusters. |
| Digistar System Upgrade November 1-4 |
| Longway Planetarium's theater system, Digistar 6, will be getting an upgrade November 1-4. During this time, the dome will be closed that there will not be any shows. We will resume shows on Friday, November 5th. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Digistar 7 includes updated astronomical databases and fully interactive, adaptive all sky surveys. Guests will fly through our universe in unprecedented detail. |
