Subject: Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium Providing Free Activities During Mott Foundation Family Fun Days

MOTT FOUNDATION FAMILY FUN DAYS PROVIDE FREE ACTIVITIES JUNE 5-6, 2026
Free Shows and Special Events at Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium as Part of the Mott Foundation Centennial Family Fun Days June 5-6
In celebration of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation's centennial, Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium will be offering special free activities and shows June 5, 5-8 p.m. and June 6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

On Friday, June 5, guests will receive free admission to the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. shows at Longway Planetarium, 1310 East Kearsley Street, Flint. The special free shows will be The Queen Light Show at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. featuring the music of the iconic rock band Queen, and Dark Side Light Show at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. featuring the music of Pink Floyd. On Sat., June 6, free shows at Longway Planetarium will be offered at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. For a full show schedule, go to SloanLongway.org/Now-Showing.

At Sloan Museum on Friday, June 5, 5-8 p.m., and Sat., June 6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. there will be free general admission and free admission to the current special exhibit, The Lost World of Dragons. Additionally, Sloan Museum is offering special activities on Saturday from Noon-5 p.m. including a seedling giveaway in the front lobby; a Soap Box Derby competition in the Durant Vehicle Gallery for ages 18 and younger; table tennis competitions; and a special "Elephant Toothpaste Demonstration" next to the outdoor entertainment stage at 2:20-2:40 p.m.

The Mott Foundation Centennial Family Fun Days will be taking place throughout the Flint Cultural Center June 5-7, 2026, culminating with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Sunday.
