ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic Exhibit Opens
January 20 at Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint
-Discover the prehistoric creatures of the frozen north at new interactive exhibition-

Flint, MI – Sloan Museum of Discovery will host ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic, an exhibition that takes visitors of all ages on an extraordinary journey through time to explore the majestic ice-age creatures of the Alaskan Arctic. Produced by Imagine and generously sponsored by the Nartel Family Foundation, this immersive experience will be open to the public from January 20-May 3, 2026.

Through life-size reconstructions, fossils, and multimedia exhibits, ICE DINOSAURS invites visitors to experience these magnificent creatures and learn about the mysteries of the Alaskan Arctic during the age of dinosaurs. The exhibition also provides a rare glimpse into how paleontologists uncover clues about these long-extinct species and what they tell us about Earth’s ancient past.

Todd Slisher, Executive Director of Sloan Museum, shared, “We are thrilled to bring ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic to Sloan Museum of Discovery. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages to discover the wonders of the prehistoric Arctic and the incredible creatures that lived there.”

Dinosaur fans who come to ICE DINOSAURS will also want to see the new show at Longway Planetarium across the street, T.Rex: The Greatest of All Tyrants, which also opens January 20.

The ICE DINOSAURS interactive exhibition will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturdays, and Noon-5 p.m. Sundays for a limited engagement through May 3, 2026. Tickets to both ICE DINOSAURS and T.Rex are available to purchase in person at Sloan Museum or Longway Planetarium, online at SloanLongway.org, or by calling Guest Services at (810) 237-3450.
