Subject: Member Moment: Our Forgotten Neighbor - The Moon

Watch this video excerpt from our First Friday lecture. From the late 1950’s through 1972 one of the most exciting items in the news was the exploration of the moon. Since then, news of lunar exploration is considered about as exciting as a trip to the grocery store. We will look at the history of lunar observation and exploration, get an overview of lunar features and how you can observe and study the moon with only a simple pair of binoculars.
