Subject: The Top 7 Reasons To Market Your Dojo With Videos...

Friend,

Hope you had a great weekend. I spent Saturday afternoon teaching a women's self-defense workshop to an awesome group of young ladies. Got clocked with a few up-kicks, and it was totally worth it.

The thing was, the turnout for the seminar was lower than I expected. And, one thing I'm going to do next time is create a marketing video to advertise the course.

Why?

Because I know video outperforms written copy in online advertising, every single time. I know this from personal experience, and the numbers prove it.

Here are a few video marketing facts that reveal why you should be using video to market your dojo and programs in 2017...

Fact #1: People Watch A Ton Of Online Videos
  • Did you know there are over a billion YouTube users? That's one-third of total internet users!
Yup, there are a ton of people on YouTube. In fact, it's the world's second-largest search engine, after Google. If you don't have videos on YouTube, you are missing out on a ton of exposure for your dojo.
  • Check this out... 45% of internet users watch more than an hour of Facebook or YouTube videos a week.
Video consumption on Facebook is on the rise. Facebook users are watching a ton of videos, and Facebook wants you to post video content on their site.

What this means for you is that it's a great place to advertise using video.

Oh, by the way... videos that are uploaded directly to Facebook get viewed 10x more than YouTube links. So, upload those videos directly to your FB page.

Fact #2: People Love To Share Videos
  • Videos on social media sites get 1200% more shares than both text and photos combined.
So how can you use this info to your advantage?

Easy... if you create videos people want to watch, you'll get viral shares. That's free advertising, and it's a great reason to put your videos on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media sites.

Fact #3: People Love To Watch Videos On Their Phones
  • More than half of the video content watched online is viewed on a cell phone or other mobile device.
And this brings us to why video marketing is superior to other content marketing like articles, blog posts, and the like. Short video content is easily consumed by mobile users, which makes it perfect for delivering an online marketing message.

Think about it... is it easier to watch a video on your phone, or read an article? I know which one I'll pick, every single time.

Remember, half of all online traffic is mobile now--meaning half the people who see your site and content online are on cell phones. So, you MUST be using video in your marketing in 2017 to reach those internet users.

Fact #4: People Love Shorter Videos
  • Videos that are 2 minutes or shorter are the most likely to be watched all the way through.
This is good news for you, because it means that you don't have to make long, complicated videos to advertise your dojo. In fact I think videos that are 30 to 60 seconds long are the ideal length for sharing on social media.

So, don't think that you need to spend huge amounts of time shooting footage for an online video. Shorter videos are better, every single time.

Fact #5: Videos Increase Sales
  • Putting a video on a landing page or sales page can double the conversion rate.
Yup, it's a fact... if your sales pages aren't producing leads and sales, adding a sales video can provide an instant boost in conversions. If you want more students, you should have a video on every page of your website.

Fact #6: Google Loves Video Content
  • Website pages with video content are 53% more likely to show up on the first page of search results in Google.
So, adding a video to your home page and sales pages on your website means your site will rank higher. What's not to love about that?

Fact #7: Video Is More Effective At Getting Your Message Across
  • Site visitors will remember 95% of information given when they watch it in a video, compared to only 10% when they read it in an article or blog post.
  • Site visitors will stay on a website about 90% longer if it contains video content.
So, if you want people to engage with your content, you need to be saying it with video!

And Lastly, Video Is Now Cheap And Easier Than Ever To Use...

It used to be that you needed lots of fancy, expensive equipment and software to make great marketing videos. But now?

Now you can do it with your cell phone and free software that you probably already have on your computer or laptop.

And if you want to know how to create awesome, professional-looking marketing videos for your dojo, you'll want to pick up Chris Perilli's dojo video marketing course.

P.S. - One final reason to use video to market your dojo--the next generation of buyers. My kid would rather watch a movie on his iPad or on my wife's iPhone than on the television. Same thing with his friends. There is an entire generation of kids who are growing up consuming content on mobile screens. If you don't master video marketing now, in ten years you'll be left in the dust by your competition.
