Well, running a dojo can be a lot like that. It looks like it's all fun and games, until reality hits you in the face.

P.S. - *This is also one of the reasons why I don't let new students spar. For one, I think it's safer, but also it helps student retention to make them wait until they know how to defend themselves in the ring.
