Subject: Martial Arts Women Who Kick _ _ _ And Take Names...

Friend,

Since Wonder Woman releases today (Gal Gadot, call me), I figured I'd do a special women's edition on Random Video Friday here at The Best Damned Martial Arts Business Newsletter.

So here goes.

Proof Anyone Can Be Famous Online

First up is a clip from a group of teenage boys who call themselves the Janoskians. I have no idea what that means, nor did I even know they existed until I saw this video yesterday.

However, apparently they're a big deal on social media (2.5 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.4 million followers on Facebook, 521k on Instagram). From what I gather, they're like a boy band that doesn't sing. Suffice it to say that your 14-year-old probably knows who they are.

And now, everyone in the MMA world knows them too, because they each spent two minutes in the ring with former UFC women's bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate.

It's pretty amusing -- check it out:

I'll avoid the obvious jokes about teenage boys and Van Halen songs, and instead comment on how well Miesha controlled each challenger without ever having to go turbo. That's how a pro does it. Well done.

Nerd Girl Goes Terminator

This next one is an oldie but goodie. In this clip, pro Muay Thai fighter Germaine Yeap pretends to be a goofy newbie at a kickboxing gym. But when one of the trainers proves to be a jackass, she goes Terminator:

Yeah, that one guy deserved it.

Time To Get A New Striking Coach

And finally, offering proof that you can't compete anymore in the women's fight game without solid stand up skills, here's a collection of female fighters serving up some vicious knockouts:

Ouch.

Until next time,
