Having the right tools can help you finish a task quickly. I realized how important tools are today when I was working on a blog post and I wasn't able to export the image I was creating from Canva. They were having a temporary issue and it was fixed, but without it I would've had a much harder time creating an image to go with my post.
Tools can be helpful but they can also rob us of significance. That's what Tim Wu says in this weeks podcast worth hearing. We often do things that are less than convenient and call them hobbies. Many times these are the things that give our lives significance.
Writing music is not convenient. It's much more convenient to just pay for a music subscription service and play music through speakers. Whether you write a song, build something out of wood, or cook a meal, I hope you'll take some time this month to do something inconvenient. (If you are writing a song, I hope you'll give LyricWell.com a try!)
