Subject: Be OK with Being OK

Dear friends and lyricists,

This is coming to you a little later than usual. My day job has kept me busy and I've had to work some overtime to finish up a big project so my side projects have suffered a bit.

This month I want to encourage you to be OK with being OK. Most of the time, the things you write are probably just OK. Not the best, not great, maybe not even good but not bad either, just OK. That’s OK because that means you can improve. For now, be OK with being OK.

Here is some content to keep you motivated and move your lyric writing forward:

Quote of the Month
"The great composer does not set to work because he is inspired, but becomes inspired because he is working. Beethoven, Wagner, Bach and Mozart settled down day after day to the job in hand with as much regularity as an accountant settles down each day to his figures. They didn't waste time waiting for inspiration."

- Ernest Newman
