Above and Beyond

How do we reward those who exceed our expectations? How are these people like “neighbors” to us? How can we emulate them? Jesus told us a story that shows us the way.

apostolic-times.com continues with context for the season's readings. In Colossians 1, the author praised Jesus as the presence of God in a hymn. In Luke 10, Jesus answered the question of the neighbor with the parable of the Good Samaritan.

How do you care for those in your community? Nation? World? This question is addressed in the Gospel Story "The Good Neighbor." This is a three minute video with a short story of a life situation, a moral from the gospel and a reflection question.
