Vacation Time
The United States marks each summer season with three holidays: Memorial Day (in late May; beginning of summer), Labor Day (early September; end of summer) and the Fourth of July (height of summer). These holidays are travel times. People go to visit family and friends, see new sights or celebrate new events. Whenever we travel, however, we should take the Good News with us, for Christianity never takes a vacation.

apostolic-times.com continues with context for the season's readings. In Galatians 6, St. Paul ended his letter by reminding his audience they were new creations. In Luke 10, Jesus sent out 72 disciples in pairs to extend his ministry.
What has God called you to do today? This question is addressed in the Gospel Story "Workers for the Harvest." This is a three minute video with a short story of a life situation, a moral from the gospel and a reflection question.
