Playing the Host

Most of us have played host in our lives, but what sort of host are we? Do we converse with our guests or do we busy ourselves serving them? Where is a good balance between the two? And, where do our efforts to evangelize fit in? These are some of the questions asked in this Sunday's readings.

apostolic-times.com continues with context for the season's readings. In Colossians 1, the author explained how God made his will clear. In Luke 10, Jesus visited Martha and Mary.

What sort of a host are you? A Martha or a Mary? This question is addressed in the Gospel Story "You Just Need Faith." This is a three minute video with a short story of a life situation, a moral from the gospel and a reflection question.
