Subject: re: Something to be thankful for........Possum Pie anyone?

Hello Friend,

Hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend.

It's always great to take time out to visit with friends and family!

Unfortunately, the overindulgence of turkey and stuffing, and Pumpkin pie, (note: some folks eat Possum Pie)  can cause one to have this tired sleepy feeling real fast, and I am you can relate to what I am talking about.

If you are on a diet, well Thanksgiving throws that right out the window.....

However, there is another way to lose weight easily which has nothing to do with food at all.

A few weeks ago I was in the store, and had the pleasure of running into an old customer, whom I had not seen in
a few years.  I asked him how his observing/imaging program was coming along, and he said he had not done much
in the past few years.

When I asked him why, he then stated that it was a lot of work to set up the telescope, polar align it, etc.....and the incentive
to do that was somewhat limited.

Branko owns a Meade 12"  SCT telescope which is about 12 years old or so and on quite a heavy mount.

I explained to him that telescope technology was now at the point where he could get a more modular system
that was more portable, and less weight, and would be far easier to use, set up and polar align.

His eyes lit up, and next thing you know he was trading in his older instrument for a far more compact and lighter
telescope, that would do automatically alignment, and had polar align assist features for astrophotography.

He was delighted, and renewed his enthusiasm  for the hobby, and now he's right back into it again.

That's all it took!

If you are having similar feelings about your equipment (and I think at least in Branko's case aging did have something
to do with it), then perhaps you should consider a similar approach.

And here is another overlooked fact: Telescope equipment today offers far more features for a lesser price, than it
ever has.

So you can  get more for less!

Certainly something to think about if you are having the telescope blues.....Give us a call 1 800 580 7160 or local 416 783 4140
