Subject: Pumpkin Spice latte abomination? Just say no.

Hello Friend,

Like yourself perhaps, I like to have my coffee first thing this morning. Dark roast works for me.

Yesterday morning when I dropped by the local coffee shop Second Cup, they offered me a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I cringed in horror.   What abomination is this?

Must everything at this time of year have Pumpkin mixed into it?

Surely you remember the original Orange Celestron brand telescopes from the 1970's?
They tried their best to make pumpkin colored telescopes.  Thank Gawd that is long gone.

Personally, I think they just got a really good deal on that colour  of paint, because no one else
wanted to buy it.

One of the original founders of Celestron Alan Hale has never confessed to this though.

Now on the other hand, there is one kind of 'pumpkin' I do like, and that is the low budget flick
made in the 1970's called Pumpkinhead.   Everyone has their favorite halloween horror flick, that's mine.

Ok, that's a wrap on pumpkins.

I am going to bring you some delightful news about what I call a "sleeper"
telescope, made by Meade Instruments that we have on sale right now at a whopping 24% discount.

I say sleeper, because not a lot of people know about this instrument.   It is a 6" maksutov.

Check it out here:

To their credit, Meade Instruments has done an excellent job of manufacturing this high performance Maksutov.

Take a look, and if you like what you see, you can buy me a coffee.

Just don't bring me a Pumpkin Spice latte!

Enjoy your weekend,

Ray Khan

PS The 24% savings was ending today Saturday, however we have extended it to October 31st, for another kick at the can.
