Subject: Problems with 2 star telescope alignment?

Hello Friend,

I'm not sure why, but a number of folks who use computerized telescopes seem to have difficulty
doing a relatively simple two star alignment.

Could be they are confusing star locations in some instances.

Have you ever had that problem?

One solution is to use a FREE app on your smartphone or android, to ensure that you are lining up
correctly on the proper star, since many of these apps actually label or name the star.

You could use a very simple planisphere.

One more thing: Make sure that you have the clock set to daylight savings, if you are in that zone.

How about avoiding the problem altogether?

That is what the clever engineers at Meade Instruments puzzled about for the longest time.

Then they came up with solution:

The Meade Lightswitch telescope.

  How does it work?

You simply flip the switch to the "on" position for the telescope.

It then boots up, and proceeds to do an automatic alignment without any further
input from the user.

That's it!

Then you can command the telescope to go to whatever night sky objects you want to observe
via the included hand control.

It simply does not get easier than that.

Right now, when you buy a Meade LS8ACF Lighswitch telescope,
You will get this :
