Halloween · 100 years ago tonight
Houdini made an elephant disappear. Our EQ6-R Pro went the same way.
On October 31, 1926, Harry Houdini died in a Detroit hospital. Nine days earlier in Montreal, a McGill student had asked whether it was true he could take any punch to the stomach, then threw several before Houdini could brace. He performed that night anyway. Whether the punches caused the ruptured appendix that killed him is still argued a century later. The greatest escape artist who ever lived did not escape All Hallows' Eve.
Eight years before that, at the New York Hippodrome, he walked a 10,000 lb elephant named Jennie into a cabinet, fired a pistol, and opened the doors on nothing. Five thousand people watched it happen and nobody could explain it.
Which brings us to Friday night. We opened the used gear sale with a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro at $1,796. By Saturday morning it was gone. No cabinet, no pistol. Someone saw it and bought it.
That's how this sale works. Everything pre-owned and open box is 10% off through Sunday, November 8. The price on the site is the sale price, no code. All 127 remaining items are one of each, inspected by our technicians. If you see something you want, don't wait for the second act.

Vaonis Vespera Pro with tripod and case
The biggest saving left in the sale. 12.5 MP sensor, automatic mosaic mode, fully app-driven. Level the tripod, pick a target on your phone, and it finds, tracks and stacks on its own. This is the smart scope we'd recommend for deep-sky images from a Toronto backyard, and this one comes with the tripod and the hard case.
