Cold weather drains batteries fast. Have spares ready and keep them warm in your pockets until you need them. Lithium Batteries work best Lubricate Moving Parts: A dab of cold-weather grease on focusers and mounts keeps things moving smoothly (no more endless fiddling with a frozen focuser).
