Subject: Do you like reliving the good old days?

Hello Friend,

There really are no "good old days", truth be known.

And here is the evidence of that.

One day someone is going to look back and say that today, was the "good old days".

Now there is nothing wrong with waxing nostalgic.  I even do it myself on occasion.

I am quite fond of the muscle cars of the 1960's.  However many of the sports cars
being made today, are technically  far superior.

I remember when this was also said about particular models of astronomical telescopes.

The Celestron C8 was a good example of this.

The models manufactured in early production were supposedly far superior optically to anything
being made today.

The truth is that is simply not the case.

Why?

Well, today the manufacturing techniques of primary mirrors and corrector plates is far superior
to the older method of  using a human operator to monitor the process.

The coating processes of today, are also far superior, thus producing better overall contrast.

Just to see if this really was the case, I actually compared the two.

That is what makes the Celestron NexStar 8 SE one of the best and most competively
priced telescopes available in the $1500 range.($1559 to be exact).

It is an even better deal right now, because we have it on sale for $234 off the regular
price right now.

You can pick it up for only $1325. and they are in stock.

Then one day in the future you can look back and say to yourself: "Yes, that was the good
old days, when I got my Celestron NexStar 8 SE telescope.

Clear Skies,

Ray Khan

PS We also have other models of the NexStar series on sale as well,
the 6, 5 and the 4.  You can see them here:
