Subject: Honoring a life taken

Although these are unprecedented times, I continue to hold in my vision for humanity the day when ALL people are treated with love and equality. And to a day when our children and their children and their children no longer see people with fear, or as different just because of how they look, where they are from, who they pray to or who they choose to love. And that they see one another as equals and deserving of compassion and respect. ~ Robert Notter
Hi Friend,
If you would be so kind as to indulge me, please take a moment in silence to remember George Floyd.

I have heard the voice in my head try and try again to offer something of value for you to read about such an unspeakable crime, but it all seems so hollow. It would just be me adding my two cents to something that, for me, requires stillness and reflection.

As an empathic person, I feel the collective sorrow and anger over the loss of a beautiful soul — it magnifies my own anger and sorrow. We all deal with grief and injustice differently, and I honor your process.

In the absence of words of wisdom, I humbly offer you the words of the lovingkindness meditation:

May you be peaceful, may you find happiness, may you be free from suffering.

Wishing you peace and healing in our collective time of sorrow,
