As I often say, "we out here!" In black culture this expresses the arduous labor of consistent practice of your craft; putting in work. Consequently, the term has since evolved to also denote being 'out here' on the hustle, on the grind, surviving the struggle. With that said, we are HIRING (see bel0w); we are building out our new office (Grand Opening date coming soon); I'll be speaking at NW African American Museum Feb 28th (sold out!), staying on top of the NEW 115 units of affordable housing being built in Seattle's Central District; Onpoint brokers closing residential and commercial deals; prepping for a popular and introspective event March 22nd (saved the date). It's black history month and WE OUT HERE!

If you're on the grind, on the hustle, closing deals, busting your ass to make your future better for your family and loved ones, then you too, are "out here". I wanted to share this phrase particularly as it relates to all the work we are doing at GardnerGlobal, Inc. & Onpoint Real Estate. My partner and myself, (if you can't tell) are Black. For the two of us to be at this stage in the real estate game (in Seattle) is not something that either of us bequeathed. We didn't inherit money or a portfolio of real estate to get us going. We were forced to take the long road, that is, if we wanted to survive. There were no hand outs. Inversely, we had people trying to block our success, take away opportunities and lacked faith in our abilities as real estate developers and professionals.

Here's the kicker, there's no substitute for hard work. When you put in the work to perfect your craft, there's nothing that any outside force can do to stop your flow. It doesn't matter what they do, what they say or how they say it. Your hustle has garnered you a special intellectual capital that that is indispensable. Today and all days, (not just this month) I want to say to everyone one of you who had to take the bus in the blistering cold, build your own network of business, built your own portfolios of real estate and businesses off shear grit, grind, hustle and creativity, and be Black while doing it in America...this message is for you. You are out here! And we see you! For those who are allies, we see you too, and thank you for your continued support!

Keep doing what you're doing. Your resilience and resolve are inspirational and motivational and we are here to help you continue building wealth. Not just monetary wealth, relationship wealth, intellectual wealth, community wealth. Black is beautiful, Black is greatness, Black is forever. Happy Black History month from all of us at Onpoint Real Estate. #BIY (Believe in Yourself)
