Subject: Saturday's Big Race Preview + Really Super Runs Again

Hello Friend

Chester's Class 2 Handicap Video Preview + Really Super goes again...

Hopefully some of you out there had a nibble on my 'flat musings' I emailed out yesterday, setting myself a rather high bar for such content but exciting moving forwards. From the stats highlighted (and do note them down for the future as they will find more winners moving forwards) there were winners at 9/2 and 12/1 (into 5s SP), 2nds at 14/1 and 9/2, a 13/2 3rd and a couple of unraced horses who may still be running. Still, i'd take those results every time I flag a handful of horses/stats of interest. If you enjoy that sort of content, you know where to head :)

To business...

And i've recorded an 'over the shoulder' video looking at the 2.40 from Chester tomorrow.

As well as going through the race and looking at who interests me most (including 'instant expert' and the all important pace maps to help you puzzle solvers) I also touch on a trainer/jockey combo worth noting, a piece of very hot handicapping form worth tracking, a handicapper for your trackers (and his profile pointers) and a jockey in form. There is something to take away that will help you land on a few winners moving forwards.

Really Super...

I think that will be all from me over the weekend in terms of free content etc.

But before I go, the mare i've a share in, seven time/Summer Plate winner Really Super, runs at Uttoxeter on Sunday in the 3.57.

18 runners go to post, madness. I've yet to have a proper look but it does look more competitive than The Summer Plate, BUT if she could get back to that level (and it's arguably the first time she's had her ground over fences since/we're approaching her time of year, she enjoys the warmer weather) she could be in the mix.

We're putting a visor on her for the first time, and you never know how that will work out until they race - will she steam off at the head of affairs, pinging her fences in a controlled manner, galloping on relentlessly? Or will she panic in them, not face them, hate every minute and never go a yard?

Both of those scenarios are possible. She did bolt up in 1st time cheek-pieces for us at Kempton and we live in hope it will just help her concentrate a bit better and realise it's game day. She ran well over hurdles LTO under her big weight, hurdles dolled off, beaten by a 'good un' who since gone close at Aintree over a trip too short, in a decent handicap. She will be winning more races for us, just a question of when :) Jack will jump of handy and try to hold a prominent position.

Still, the sun has arrived just in time and the ground should be perfect for her, the track over fences an unknown but I can't think it will be a problem, for all that it appears like she doesn't like too many undulations/cambers etc.

Maybe the market will underestimate her again as it did at Market Rasen (25/1), and with at least 4 places to play with, I won't put you off a small EW nibble. With all the caveats about the headgear and the fact it looks a competitive race!

She is in good form at home, working well, and does look stunning in her coat from what i've seen. So, fingers crossed.

If you'd have backed her every time she's run for us you'd be +60 points in profit or so to Betfair Starting Price, which isn't too shabby, for all that any such returns are only ever the cherry on top of the icing for us enthusiasts.

Have a great weekend,

Josh
