Subject: 🏇Saturday's Big Race Pointers

Hello Friend,

Below you can find some of my members' content, free of charge of course. In this week's 'Saturday's ITV Trends & Trainers' post I've looked at three of the big handicaps.

You can find the stats and trends below, followed by the 'application' of said trends and any relevant shortlists.

These are always just a guide of course but between the trends shortlist and the trainers lists, they do throw up plenty of winners. As always, just a case of landing on the right ones!!

Where you see a 'H' (H1, H2, H3, H4) that refers to HorseRaceBase ratings, which I add as a further help. The top 3 rated in all handicaps tend to include around 55% of winners, a useful guide of sorts, but only that of course.

Next week I'll start sending you some Festival stats which may help land on a few winners.

Thanks for putting up with my 'The Plumber' chat. We've only got x5 shares left now I think (87.5% sold) and are assembling another fine bunch of owners.

Applying The Trends

2.25 Ascot

The trends are only so helpful here but a profile of 1-2 handicap wins, and 1-2 handicap chase wins, leaves 8/11 (8/27 runners, 16p), inc the last x4 winners, and IF upholding would point to…

Caribean Boy H4, Truckers Lodge, Hold That Taught, Sojourn.

None of them tick the other pointers. Running at G1 level has been a positive, and two in the field have done that at least once in their careers…

Fiddlerontheroof, Regal Encore

Trainers (to have won race/with runners)

  • Larry

  • Hold That Taught

  • Regal Encore

2.40 Haydock

The 14/14 stats, while some are not the most robust, leave 14/14 (14/92, 30p) and IF upholding would point to six…

Secret Reprieve, Enqarde H3, Time To Get Up, The Galloping Bear, Sidi Ismael, Kalooki

A win over 26f+ previously in career has been a big positive, and only Kalooki of those above falls down on that front.

A top two finish LTO has been a positive (rather than a negative for not doing so)… Enqarde, The Galloping Bear

Trainers

  • Lord Du Mesnil H4

  • Sidi Ismael

3.00 Ascot

Looking at a profile of aged 8 or younger, having never won at Sandown, 0-3 runs in hurdles and 2 or 3 runs in the prev 90 days would point to 12/14 (12/71 runners, 28p) and IF upholding, would point to five…

Good Risk At All, Zacony Rebel H3, Ballybegg, Small Bad Bob H2, Lucky One

Showing some recent winning form at least once on last three starts has been a positive…

Zacony Rebel H3, Ballybegg, Small Bad Bob H2

Trainers

  • Cap Du Mathan H4

  • Lucky One

That's all for today. Fingers crossed the above helps you land on a winner or two, the ITV7 or the placepot. Or maybe there's a reverse forecast lurking there.

Best of luck,

Josh
