Subject: Newmarket Day 1 Pointers

Hello Friend,

It's day 1 of Newmarket's July Festival and the following may be useful to you..

Firstly, my Newmarket July Festival Trainer Angles...

You can find those HERE >>>

Today's 'qualifiers'

2.25 – Little Big Bear (AOB)

3.35 – Living Legend (MJ)

3.35 – West End Charmer (MJ)

4.10 – Monaadah (SBS, 11/1<)

4.10 – The Acropolis (AOB)

4.40 – Echo Point (CA)

4.40 – Noble Dynasty (CA)

I'd be tempted to use as 'way in'. Having flicked through with my own subjective form/profile eyes I wasn't jumping up and down to wade into much at the prices. But I've no doubt got the odd one wrong.

In saying that if I was track-side I'd have a nibble on West End Charmer at 12s. A chance he gets to make all , he's unexposed over 12f (may not stay of course) and MJ knows what's needed to win this race. He could give the top two something to ponder although has a bit to find on ratings and does need them to underperform. I thought Echo Point may run well, for all it looks like Buick had the choice and picked Noble Dynasty, which may be a tip in itself. However the former goes well fresh and they drop him right back in trip, I wondered whether The Doyler may try and make all, I thought he should be in the mix if running his race.

Trainers in form…

Flicking through the Newmarket card, there are a handful of trainers who you’d describe as being in red hot form… (many will have runners elsewhere in coming days also).. stats for last 14 days… (thanks to Geegeez gold for these easy to find nuggets)

  • William Haggas: 14/48, 27p, 29% win sr, 69% rivals beaten

  • Charlie Appleby: 6/20,11p, 30% win sr, 72% rivals beaten

  • Aidan O’Brien: 6/24, 12p, 25% win sr, 73% rivals beaten

  • John & Thady Gosden: 8/22,15p, 36% win sr, 73% rivals beaten

  • Saeed Bin Suroor: 8/22, 13p, 36% win sr, 70% rivals beaten

  • Roger Varian: 15/42, 24p, 36% win sr, 69% rivals beaten

We will see how they all get on in the coming days but those big 6 may not be a bad starting point, a mix of the yards being in red hot form and having many of the best/best bred horses around.

Tips...

And finally.. if you'd like to follow tips, you really should trial Adam over at Cotswold Racing.

Around 25 of you have signed up since yesterday and I know you won't regret it in the long term. His results, esp to BFSP, are quite something. +422 points and counting since the start of 2021.

Do take some time to ponder yesterday's email, which you can read HERE>>>

He has tips at 15/2, 2/1, 14/1, 22/1 and 5/1 today, Festivals always a bit busier of course.

The write ups are decent also. It really is worth giving a proper go for 3 months, and I suspect the majority will be staying for many more months after that if the previous 18 are anything to go by. He really has been a money making machine to reasonable stakes.

Right, that's all for today. As always, GL with any bets,
