Today's racing, much like yesterday's is pretty dire but thankfully we have a feast from Newbury to look forward to from tomorrow onwards.
With that in mind I have had a look at the trends and stats for the big race, The Hennessy Gold Cup.
There are some interesting stats there that should help you draw up a shortlist. 15/18 finished Top 3 LTO for example, 17/18 had places on at least one of their last two starts.
*** Trainer Pointers
I have also had a look at some of the trainers that have done well at the meeting in recent years. One of these has run 6 handicap chasers here since 2011 aged 6 or 7 that have had 0 or 1 run in previous 90 days - all 6 have won.
