Hello Friend
You'll be relieved to hear I'm going to avoid emailing you more losers today. Although there is a 16s poke up on the blog in the usual place. Instead I'm going to talk about winners and the season to date. It's going well.
Mind you, i'm still pondering my abject efforts last week. One horse ran well, the rest may still be running. Simply not good enough and I'm not one for excuses. Obviously I don't mind picking losers, and many of them - they're an inevitable part of any successful long term approach. But the combination of selections falling out the back of the tv/never getting competitive, combined with not being close enough to said winners for my standards, is most frustrating - and outside of natural punting variance, may indicate my approach last week was, at times, flawed. Plenty for me to ponder and to channel in a positive way. If you can't be self critical (but not overly) and learn lessons, this game will chew you up and spit you out.
