Subject: How to Profit from 1st Time Blinkers

Hello Friend

Don't be so blinkered, like me...

Following the win of Majestic Dawn in The Cambridgeshire I thought it best to take a look back at the result, and specifically a look at the record of horses wearing blinkers for the first time in C2 Flat Handicaps.

Given the overall '1st time headgear' stats my usual reaction is to be put off, and even more so in big handicaps- it turns out that thinking is completely wrong and if there's one race type in which to latch onto 1st time blinkers, it's those class 2s! Doh.

So, i've fired up my 'over the shoulder' recording kit and dived into my system building/research software.

I start with a brief look back at Majestic Dawn's win and a few learning points from the race, and then dive into 'the stats'.

There's plenty of snippets for you to take away and if you’ve got your own system building software, some inspiration for further digging…(if you find anything good, let us know :)), concluding with a ‘micro angle’ of sorts that is 10/34, 14p, +295 BFSP since start of 2015…

I aimed for 25 minutes this time, and hit around 30, which is good for me! With any luck you find it informative and rather profitable moving forwards. This research will lead us to some monster flat winners in time.

Oh, and if you missed yesterday's 'pace' video, that's also worth a watch - and may be even more useful for education purposes now the races have been run and you can see how they played out, especially Hamilton - where such musings 'shortlisted' x3 decent priced winners of interest that may have otherwise been tricky to find. pace does win the race, sometimes...

Happy punting,
