Firstly may I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Thanks for your continued support in opening, reading and engaging with my email musings.

While they'll no doubt be some challenges ahead this year, at least us racing fans have plenty to look forward to.

December was a better month for these angles, with +13.8 points to Betfair Starting Price, the total since Oct 1st 2021 now stands at +90 points to 1 point win bets. Or £180 for fun £2 stakes.

Hopefully January's three trainers - Donald McCain, Sue Smith and Robert Walford, can fire in a few winners, having averaged +36 points per January in the last eight seasons. I'd take that total again, but time will tell.
