Subject: [Guest Post] 10 Alternative Jumpers To Follow

Hello Friend

Top 10 alternative Point to Point and Hunter Chase horses from the UK and IRE 2020

Introduction

Below you can find 10 alternative ‘under the radar’ (or less obvious) Pointers /Hunters to keep an eye on. This list has been pulled together by a good friend of mine, Alex. He and a couple of others are responsible for leading me astray at last year's Pardubice meeting. (I recommend a visit) He’s a part time bloodstock agent as well as a Point to Point fanatic.

I hope you enjoy flicking through these as much as I did. With any luck there'll be a few decent winners in the months ahead, into next winter jumps season and beyond.

Over to Alex…

Liar's Dice

This 7-year-old Milan gelding had plenty of experience under rules in Ireland before being purchased to run in the UK point to point scene.

A debut at the tough Alnwick track in December showed he had retained ability where showing up well for a long way before tiring late on to be a well beaten 2nd. He ran at Alnwick again in January running a tremendous race coming 2nd again beaten in a photo. The winner has won well again since.

A switch to rules and to the capable hands of Justin Landy followed. A run without promise at Musselburgh over hurdles resulted in a drop of 3lb in the handicap. Now rated 107 i'd fully expect him to win over a distance of around 3 miles when in a 0-105 handicap.

It could well be that this deep girthed gelding needs a run to be spot on.

All the best and stay safe,
Josh
