Hello Friend

Yesterday I dived into HorseRaceBase endeavouring to unearth a trainer or three we could follow in December - or certainly to use as a 'way in'. They can be creatures of habit after all, including the times of year they target/which tracks/horses etc.

I like researching 'monthly trainers' and posting the qualifiers. Sometimes they work systematically, sometimes they don't. But they usually throw up a few winners. 

November was another profitable month for 'the' bread and butter 'monthly angle' that is 'Venetia Time'. I've been posting it for 4/5 years now and it's been profitable every year I think. Hopefully you backed a winner or two from that. 

It ended up at around +6.5 points to morning odds/non-bog, +7.2 Betfair SP.  All good fun. 

Hopefully some of you had a dart on Cloudy Glenn also, 38/1 BFSP. Those sent off bigger than 20/1 were 0/14,1p in the period but she's put that right with a biggie flying in.  

With that in mind I've found three angles with no 'odds caps', for all that does mean more no-hopers, but all three of my December trainers have the odd biggie fly in. 

This month I've focussed on Nicky Henderson (and three tracks he targets), Philip Hobbs and Venetia Williams again. (I'm probably pushing my luck!) 

Those three are in the top six, winners wise, of all UK trainers in the month of Decembe, with all runners (Nicholls, Skelton, McCain, the other three, but they lose stacks to SP and profitable angles tricky to find)

There are three qualifiers today... two at bigger prices but we'll see how they get on...
