Hello Friend

Fathom Five failed to build on his decent run last time out and is currently due to run again tomorrow. Cool Baranca could never lay up with the pace on ground that changed officially to Good to Soft following some persistent sun. He traveled well into the straight but didnt have any gears to trouble the judge and grab a place. (not sure if any amount of rain would have helped catch the winner) His time will come again, maybe in the autumn. 

2.20 Ayr Fathom Five

I suspect FF will be withdrawn having run today but you never know. I wont repeat yesterday's write up as if he runs he will have 'his conditions' again. I have now lost 2.5 points following him this season, but if he runs tomorrow I will have a 1/2 point win bet on him at 11/1. He drops down to 5f and at least he is doing something different, although he has now become frustrating to follow. He is the only 11yo in the portfolio and maybe time has just about caught up with him. Of course as soon as I stop backing him he will win!  

Elsewhere Heartsong runs in the 7.15 Nottingham. She would be a selection if the ground is soft. However it is officially Good to Soft (good in places) with no rain forecast. She is 0/14, 1 place, outside her ideal conditions, which include soft going. 

There are no other qualifiers or potential qualifiers tomorrow.
