Subject: Flat Profiles: Qualifier 28/05/15

Hello Friend

Economic Crisis won again at her beloved Hamilton, benefiting from the persistent rain which started an hour before the race. In truth it never looked in doubt from about 3f out as our jockey sat motionless and everyone in behind was busy rowing away. She drifted to 16/1 for a time in the morning although I settled for the 8/1 BOG, having taken 13/2 last night.

Total since live: 4/20, 10/20 placed = +15 points to My Verdict Stakes.

If you had ignored my advice and backed everything 1 point win only you would be +16.5 points up. If we can maintain that 50% win and place strike rate we should do very well.

Onto tomorrow...

8.45 Sandown Boom And Bust

Ideal Cond. 8f, Good to Firm or Firm

Form in Cond. 1,1,1,1,1 ...18, 4 (0/25, 9 places in handicaps outside this)

Positives. He has his trip and his ground. All other race conditions fine, 2/5, 3 places Right Handed. He also ran his best race in a while last time and takes a drop in class.

Negatives. He is clearly not the force of old but connections keep persevering and he is now 12lbs below his last winning mark.

My Verdict. 1/2 point EW 20/1 (PaddyP) 16/1 (general, 4 places)

His run last time was promising, suggesting he could recapture some winning form at some point. If he is to do that it will be over 8f and on ground with Firm in the title. The weather is set fair and hopefully he can give us a good run for our money.
