Positives. He has his conditions here, 2/3 over CD and 1/1 under this jockey. He looks set to give the hat trick bid a good go...

Negatives. Well he has peaked before August twice this season for the first time which was frustrating but we know he is in form. I think the handicap mark should be fine, 1lb above highest after claim. Field size a concern as he is 0/6, 1 place 12+ runners, but that may just be down to nature of those races, rather than being intimidated say. The bigger concern could be the draw, on the outside here. He raced prominently LTO but there is plenty of pace in here and he could get stuck in a poor position. 

My Verdict. 1/2 point EW 7/1 (betfred/BV/tote sport/Ladbrokes) - while a bit skinny usually to go EW given the draw, and the number of in form rivals in this, I think this may be the safest option and still leaves over +5 points if he does win. He should run another fine race and give it a good go.

-2.00 Bev - Conry - a bit of a Catterick specialist on turf but all other race conditions fine and appears well enough fancied. 

-3.35 Bev - Windforpower - a liking for Muss + Newcastle. Now 0/7, 2 places at Beverley, all other race conditions fine. 

-7.20 Bath - If I Were A Boy - 0/12, 2 places when OR71+. Only 3lb above last winning mark but he never wins by far and that seems to make the difference. All race conditions fine so should go ok, albeit normally finding one or two better handicapped. Quite a few progressive types in here too.
