3 (1/30, 10 places outside) Positives. He has his conditions as he did last time and there is no reason why he wont run his race again. He looks like he could get an uncontested lead again if desired. Negatives. Yet to win in a race with 12+ runners (0/14, 5 places) but the place record suggests this isn't impossible. Given he likes to generally lead all the way this can obviously be harder in larger fields. My Verdict. 1/2 point EW 5/1 (general) I am going safety first here as I expect him to run his usual solid race. He should get an easy lead and if Carson can keep a bit more up his sleave (did he go too hard too early last time?) there is a chance that could make the difference. There are a handful of in form and progressive horses in here and that field size stat makes me think he may struggle to hang on all the way, but being able to lead should give him every chance of placing at worse hopefully, provided he doesn't use up too much petrol. *** Non Qualifiers - Nameitwhatyou like (3.40 Pontefract) This is a soft ground horse to date and if there were rain, and the going changed to soft, he would be a qualifier.
