Positives. He has been a frustrating horse at times but gets his conditions here and drops into C5 for the first time since June last year. Indeed his last three C5 runs read, 1,1,1. If putting it all together he is a bit better than a C5 animal. All race conditions are fine. 

Negatives. Well he comes here after a break but he has won after a longer lay off than this, and it may well have done him some good. He is 0/6, 1 place on straight courses, but is 0/4, 1 place over CD. That is the only niggle really. 

My verdict: 1 point win 7/1 (Bet365/BV/Betfred)

Non Qualifiers 

3.20 Redcar - Keep It Dark - he won LTO after 5+ non runners, which reduced the field size and effectively made him a qualifier. He is now 0/23, 6 places with 12+ runners but is at least in form and he may run well again. Windforpower - most predictable at Muss/Newc

6.05 Red - Teetotal - does like Ponte although been disappointing this year.
