Hello Friend

Imperator Augustus didn't run too well today, never looking comfortable, although he did keep plugging away. Maybe he didn't like the ground which was on the soft side but he had only raced twice on worse than good and he didn't go totally unbacked. He probably deserves one more chance in C6 on a sounder surface, with his record now 0/3, 0 places on ground with juice in.

There are no qualifiers tomorrow although a few ground based horses to keep an eye on...

Non Qualifiers

-Clubland / Comrade Bond / Uncle Dermot / Whos Shirl (2.20 Donc)

-Sleepy Blue Ocean (5.10 Donc) Conditions are July, Good to Firm. It is officially Good (0/13, 2 places) as opposed to 4/17, 8 places on Good to Firm. It isn't impossible that the ground dries out but knowing what the going is at the best of times is tricky! Rest of race conditions fine.

-La Baccouetteuse / Hot Spice (5.40 Donc) HS withdrawn today I assume due to the going. He is in the right class today (5) but is 0/9, 1 place on Good. It is an Amateurs race but he has a fairly decent one on board. Yet to prove stamina beyond 2m. I am not sure if he will get an easy lead here, but could be dangerous if he does, the ground being the main concern.

-Conry (7.10 Epsom)

-Strandfield Lady (7.55 Leopardstown) - Loves this track but best form over 10f, and is unpredictable over further, only 2/30 over 1m4 or further, 1/14, 4 places here over further than 1m2f. (7/19 10f) Has won over 1m6 here but is in poor form, and hard to know when she will run well over further than 10f.
